You are inherently valuable, exactly as you are.
Welcome. This is a trauma-informed space for Therapeutic Counselling & Financial Therapy — designed to let your nervous system rest.
Whether you are carrying the quiet, heavy weight of financial stress, the exhaustion of burnout, the complex tangle of compulsive spending, or the daily reality of chronic illness, you no longer have to hold it alone. This isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about gently uncovering the wholeness that was always there.
Maybe you've never said any of this out loud. Maybe you're not sure you deserve help with it. Maybe part of you still believes you should just figure it out on your own.
That part is welcome here, too.
Here, judgment dissolves. We simply hold space for the brave, beautifully complex person you are — and we go at your pace, always.
What's different here
Someone who actually gets it
No judgment. Ever.
Flexible telehealth, on your terms
Does any of this sound familiar?
You don't have to have the words for it yet. That's what I'm here for.
At Bright Line Counselling & Financial Therapy, I work with people who are quietly exhausted — by their bodies, their bank accounts, or both. If you've ever felt like everyone else got a manual you somehow missed, you're in the right place. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to help you figure out what you actually need — and build a real path toward it.
Meet Kimberley
Emotional healing. Financial alignment. A life that finally feels like yours.
Hi, I'm Kimberley — and I'll be honest with you, I don't fit neatly into one category, and what I bring to this work is rare.
I'm a student counsellor completing my clinical training at the Orca Institute, and I also bring three decades of corporate and personal finance experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant — and more recently, as a Certified Financial Counsellor. I kept noticing that knowing the numbers was never enough. People needed someone who could help them heal the story behind the numbers. That realization is what brought me to counselling.
I am Trauma of Money Certified and have spent three years specializing exclusively in compulsive overshopping — including 14 months of full-time immersive training in Dr. April Benson's renowned methodology through her protégé. I also personally navigate hEDS, POTS, MCAS, ME/CFS, and Raynaud's — which means when you talk about the grief and exhaustion of living in an unpredictable body, I'm not just nodding along. I understand it from the inside.
To really help someone with their mental health and financial well-being, you need to understand both the money and the person. In Canada, financial therapy is a growing field — but three decades of real financial expertise, seven-plus years of formal financial education, combined with genuine clinical counselling training? That combination is almost impossible to find. This space was built around it — and built for you.
